The ROE deer, also known as Capreolus capreolus, is a species of deer native to Europe, Asia Minor, and parts of western Asia. It is the smallest species of deer, with a body length of up to 90 cm and a shoulder height of up to 60 cm. The ROE deer is characterized by its reddish-brown coat, white underside, and black-tipped ears. It is a solitary animal, living in small groups or alone, and is active mainly at night.
