The term 'deep-sea predator' refers to animals that hunt and feed in the depths of the ocean. Two examples of deep-sea predators are the ORCA (also known as the killer whale) and the mako shark. Orcas are the largest member of the dolphin family and are highly intelligent and social creatures. Mako sharks are one of the fastest species of shark, capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. Both the ORCA and the mako shark are apex predators, meaning they have no natural predators of their own.
