Debbie Reynolds was an American actress, singer, and businesswoman who had a career spanning almost 70 years. She is best known for her role as Kathy Selden in the 1952 musical Singin' in the Rain. Her other notable films include Tammy and the Bachelor (1957), The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964), and Irene (1969). She also starred in the television series Will & Grace as Bobbi Adler from 1998 to 2006. Reynolds also had a successful career as a singer, releasing several albums and singles throughout her career. Her most successful single was 'Tammy' (1957), which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She also released the album Debbie (1959), which featured the hit single 'Irene'. Reynolds also appeared in the film version of the Broadway musical Annie Get Your Gun (1950) and the comedy-drama The Catered Affair (1956). Her last film role was in the comedy-drama Mother (1996), which starred Albert Brooks and Debbie Meyer. She also had a recurring role in the television series Sister, Sister (1994–1995) as Aunt Debbie McKee.
