Ted Danson is an American actor, producer, and author who is best known for his role as Sam Malone on the television sitcom Cheers. He also starred in the CBS drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and the HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Danson has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award for his work on Cheers. His other notable roles include Dr. John Becker on the sitcom Becker and Arthur Frobisher on the drama Damages. Danson has also appeared in films such as Three Men and a Baby, Made in America, and Saving Private Ryan.
