Cuba Bay is a bay located on the south coast of Cuba. It is bordered by the Guantanamo Province to the east and Isla de la Juventud to the west. The bay is named after Fidel Castro's revolutionary movement, which was known as the 26th of July Movement or Movimiento 26 de Julio. The bay is also known for its large population of Cuban refugees, who fled the country during the Cuban Revolution in 1959. The bay is also home to the US Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, which is leased from Cuba by the United States. The bay is also home to the Isla Libre de Pesca, a fishing reserve established in 1997.
