Russell Crouse was an American playwright and screenwriter who, along with his writing partner, Howard Lindsay, wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning play 'Life With Father' and the Tony Award-winning musical 'The Sound of Music'. He was also a member of the Algonquin Round Table, a group of New York City writers, actors, and critics. Crouse was born in Findlay, Ohio in 1893 and died in 1966. He is remembered for his witty dialogue and his ability to bring out the best in his collaborators.
