Yemen is a country located in the Middle East, on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. It borders Saudi Arabia to the north, Oman to the east, and the Gulf of Aden to the south. Yemen is one of the oldest centers of civilization in the Near East, with a history dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. It is also situated on the Gulf of Aden, a body of water that connects the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean.
