Cosmic clouds, also known as NEBULAE, are large interstellar clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium and other gases. They are often visible in the night sky as faint patches of light, and can be seen with the naked eye or through a telescope. NEBULAE are the birthplaces of stars, and are often associated with star formation. They can also be the remnants of supernovae, which are the explosive deaths of massive stars.
