Corrosive fluids are substances that can cause damage to other materials through chemical reactions. The two most common types of corrosive fluids are lyes and ACIDS. Lyes are alkaline solutions, usually made from sodium hydroxide, that can dissolve organic matter. ACIDS are compounds that contain hydrogen and can react with metals and other materials to produce a corrosive effect. Both lyes and ACIDS can be extremely dangerous if handled improperly.
