Andre Previn was a renowned American composer, conductor, and pianist. He was born in Berlin, Germany in 1929 and moved to Los Angeles in 1939. Previn won four Academy Awards for his work in film music and was nominated for ten Grammy Awards. He was also the music director of the London Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Previn was known for his versatility and was able to conduct both classical and jazz music. He died in 2019 at the age of 89.
