Seiji Ozawa is a Japanese conductor and violinist. He is one of the most renowned conductors of the 20th and 21st centuries, having won numerous awards and honors for his work. Ozawa has conducted many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has also served as music director of the Saito Kinen Orchestra in Japan and the Vienna State Opera. Ozawa has been awarded the Order of Culture by the Japanese government and the Praemium Imperiale by the Emperor of Japan.
