Conditional releases, also known as paroles (7 letters), are a form of release from prison that allows an offender to serve the remainder of their sentence in the community under certain conditions. These conditions are set by a parole board and may include regular reporting to a parole officer, abstaining from drugs and alcohol, and attending counseling or treatment programs. If the offender fails to comply with the conditions, they may be returned to prison.
