Comstock is a term associated with the SILVER mining industry in the United States. It refers to the Comstock LODE, a major SILVER deposit discovered in Nevada in 1859. The term can also refer to the people involved in the mining industry, such as the SILVER miners, the ADIT miners who dug tunnels to access the ORE, and the ORE processors. The Comstock LODE was named after Henry Comstock, an American prospector who claimed the area.
