The composer J.S. BACH was a German composer of the Baroque period. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time and is known for his instrumental works, such as the Brandenburg Concertos and the Goldberg Variations, as well as for his vocal music, such as the St Matthew Passion and the Mass in B Minor. He is also known for his chorale preludes and fugues, which are some of the most famous works in the organ repertoire.
