Comic Denis Leary is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director. He is known for his dark, acerbic humor and his outspoken views on politics and social issues. Leary is best known for his role as FDNY firefighter Tommy Gavin in the FX drama series Rescue Me. He has also appeared in films such as The Ref, Draft Day, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Leary has released several comedy albums, including No Cure for Cancer and Lock 'n Load. He is also the author of two books, Why We Suck and Why We Don't Suck.
