Soupy SALES was an American comedian, actor, and television and radio host. He was best known for his children's television show Lunch with Soupy SALES, which ran from 1953 to 1966. He was also known for his slapstick comedy and use of double entendres. SALES was a popular figure in the 1950s and 1960s, appearing on television shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He was also a frequent guest on game shows such as What's My Line? and I've Got a Secret. SALES was also known for his work in radio, hosting a show called Soupy SALES' Comedy Network.
