Columnist Molly Ivins was an American journalist, author, and political commentator. She wrote for several newspapers, including the Dallas Times Herald and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and was a syndicated columnist for the New York Times. She was known for her wit and her progressive views on politics and social issues. She was also a regular guest on television and radio programs. Ivins was born in 1944 in California and died in 2007 in Texas.
