The Colosseum Warrior, also known as a GLADIATOR, was an individual who fought in the Roman Colosseum for entertainment. Gladiators were usually slaves, prisoners of war, or volunteers who fought against each other, wild animals, and sometimes even condemned criminals. They were trained to fight with weapons such as swords, spears, and shields. Gladiators were highly respected and often became celebrities in their own right.
