A coffee-making machine, commonly known as a percolator, is an apparatus used to brew coffee by passing boiling water through ground coffee beans. It is composed of a chamber, a filter, and a heat source. The chamber holds the water and the filter holds the ground coffee beans. When the heat source is activated, the boiling water is forced up through the filter and into the chamber, where it is then mixed with the ground coffee beans. The resulting mixture is then poured out of the chamber and into a cup or mug.
