Climbing shrubs are plants that grow up walls, fences, and other structures. Two examples of climbing shrubs are wisteria and IVY. Wisteria is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae, that includes eight species of woody climbing vines native to the Eastern United States and to China, Korea, and Japan. IVY is a genus of 12–15 species of evergreen climbing or ground-creeping woody plants in the family Araliaceae, native to Europe, North Africa, and western Asia.
