Christopher REEVE was an American actor, director, and activist best known for his portrayal of the iconic superhero, Superman, in four films from 1978 to 1987. He also starred in other films such as Somewhere in Time (1980) and Deathtrap (1982). REEVE was paralyzed from the neck down after a horse-riding accident in 1995, but he continued to act and advocate for people with disabilities until his death in 2004.
