The term CHOPIN PIECES refers to two types of compositions by the Polish composer Frederic Chopin. The first is Polonaises, which are a type of Polish dance in triple meter, usually with a strong and rhythmically distinct march-like character. The second is Etudes, which are short solo pieces for the piano that focus on a particular technical challenge. Both Polonaises and Etudes are considered some of the most important works of Chopin's career.
