The Chicago Loop Trains, also known as the Elevated Loop (ELS), are a rapid transit system in Chicago, Illinois. The system consists of eight lines that form a loop around the downtown area of the city. The trains are operated by the Chicago Transit Authority and provide service to over 140 stations throughout the city. The ELS is one of the busiest rapid transit systems in the United States, carrying over 200 million passengers annually.
