Checkers, also known as DRAUGHTS, is a two-player board game that has been around for centuries. The game is played on an 8x8 checkered board with 12 pieces per player. The objective of the game is to capture all of the opponent's pieces or to block them so they cannot move. Players take turns moving one piece at a time, and can only move diagonally forward until they reach the opposite side of the board. Capturing an opponent's piece is done by jumping over it with one of the player's pieces. The game ends when one player has no pieces left or when neither player can make a move.
