Ophelia is a character in Shakespeare's play Hamlet. She is the daughter of Polonius and sister of Laertes. Ophelia is a young woman who is in love with Prince Hamlet, but is ultimately driven mad by his rejection of her. The GHOST is the spirit of Hamlet's father, King Hamlet, who appears to Hamlet in the first act of the play. He reveals to Hamlet that he was murdered by his brother Claudius. Osric is a courtier in the court of King Claudius. He is sent by Claudius to challenge Hamlet to a duel with Laertes.
