CERTAIN ALGONQUIAN is a term used to refer to the indigenous people of North America who speak languages belonging to the Algonquian language family. The most well-known of these are the CREE, an indigenous people of Canada and the United States. The CREE language is an Algonquian language spoken by approximately 117, 000 people across Canada, making it the most widely spoken indigenous language in the country.
