Art Carney was an American actor and comedian best known for his role as Ed Norton in the 1950s television series The Honeymooners. He also won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 1974 film Harry and Tonto. Carney was also a talented artist, having studied at the Art Students League of New York. He was known for his paintings of clowns and other circus-related subjects.
