Cager McHale is a former American basketball player and coach. He was born in 1938 and played college basketball at the University of North Carolina. He then went on to play professionally for the Philadelphia Warriors and the San Francisco Warriors. After his playing career, he became a coach, first with the Portland Trail Blazers and then with the Boston Celtics. He won two NBA championships as a coach with the Celtics in 1981 and 1986.
