Buffy is a fictional character from the popular television series 'Buffy the Vampire SLAYER'. She is a SLAYER, a chosen one with supernatural strength and abilities to fight vampires and other evil forces. Her full name is Buffy Anne Summers and she is played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. ANGEL is her love interest and a vampire with a soul. The two of them together form the Scooby Gang, a group of friends who help Buffy in her mission to SLAY vampires and other supernatural creatures. Buffy also has a weapon of choice, a wooden STAKE, which she uses to kill vampires. Finally, Buffy is sometimes referred to as the Sainte, a title given to her by the Watchers Council for her heroic deeds.
