Ascot is a British racecourse located in the small town of ASCOT, Berkshire. It is one of the leading racecourses in the United Kingdom, hosting nine of Britain's 32 annual Group 1 horse races. The most famous of these is the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, which has been run at ASCOT since 1951. ASCOT also hosts the prestigious Royal ASCOT meeting each June, which is attended by members of the British Royal Family.
