Sir Robert PEEL was a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1834 to 1835 and again from 1841 to 1846. He is best known for founding the modern Conservative Party and introducing a number of important reforms, such as the repeal of the Corn Laws and the establishment of the Metropolitan Police Force. He also served as Home Secretary from 1822 to 1827 and 1830 to 1834.
