The British political party landscape is composed of four main parties: the Tories, also known as the Conservative Party; the Slates, also known as the Liberal Democrats; the LABOR Party; and the Tories, also known as the Scottish National Party. The Tories are a centre-right party that has been in power since 2010 and is led by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The Slates are a centrist party that was formed in 1988 and is led by Jo Swinson. The LABOR Party is a left-wing party that has been in power for much of the 20th century and is currently led by Jeremy Corbyn. The Tories are a right-wing party that is based in Scotland and is led by Nicola Sturgeon.
