BLURTED (OUT) is an informal term used to describe when someone speaks quickly and without thinking. It can be used to describe a variety of different types of speech, such as SPAT (4 letters), SAID (4 letters), and SUNG (4 letters). SPAT is used to describe when someone speaks in a harsh or angry tone. SAID is used to describe when someone speaks in a more conversational tone. SUNG is used to describe when someone speaks in a melodic or musical tone. All three terms are used to describe the act of blurting out words without thinking.
