The Big Apple Award is an annual award given to recognize excellence in Off-Broadway theater. The award is made up of three categories: the Obie, Soho, and Ashe awards. The Obie Award is given to recognize excellence in Off-Broadway productions, the Soho Award is given to recognize excellence in Off-Off-Broadway productions, and the Ashe Award is given to recognize excellence in Off-Broadway musicals.
