Bernina is a mountain in the ALPS, located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is the highest peak in the Eastern ALPS, with an elevation of 4, 049 meters (13, 284 feet). The term Bernina is also used to refer to the Bernina Range, which includes the mountain and its surrounding area. The range is part of the Rhaetian ALPS, which are located in the southeastern part of Switzerland and northern Italy. The Bernina Range is home to several glaciers, including the Morteratsch Glacier, which is one of the largest in the ALPS.
