George Mikan was a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He was a six-time NBA champion, four-time All-Star, and three-time All-NBA First Team selection. He was also the first player to be enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. His career spanned from 1947 to 1956, during which he led the Minneapolis Lakers to five NBA championships. He was also the first player to be named the NBA's Most Valuable Player.
