Orel Hershiser is a former Major League Baseball pitcher and current analyst. He played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, and New York Mets from 1983 to 2000. He is best known for his record-breaking 1988 season, when he set a major league record by pitching 59 consecutive scoreless innings. He was also named the National League's Cy Young Award winner that year. After retiring from baseball, Hershiser became an analyst for ESPN and Fox Sports.
