The Barcelona-born Surrealist is Joan Miró, commonly known as Miro (4 letters). He was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist born in Barcelona in 1893. He was a leader of the Surrealist movement and his work has been interpreted as a sort of symbolic autobiography. His work often combined abstract elements with recognizable objects, and he used bright colors and organic shapes to create a dreamlike atmosphere.
