An ETUI is a small bag or BOX, usually made of metal, used to store small articles such as jewelry, sewing supplies, or other personal items. It is a French word derived from the Latin word 'theca', meaning 'BOX'. Etuis were popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, and are still used today.
