Baby's affliction, also known as COLIC, is a condition that affects infants and is characterized by excessive crying and fussiness. It is believed to be caused by an immature digestive system, gas, or food allergies. COLIC usually begins in the first few weeks of life and can last up to three months. Symptoms include inconsolable crying, clenched fists, and drawing up of the legs. Treatment includes soothing techniques such as rocking, swaddling, and white noise.
