Isaac Bashevis Singer was an American author of Yiddish literature and Nobel Prize winner. He was born in Poland in 1904 and immigrated to the United States in 1935. His works often focused on the struggles of Jewish immigrants in America and his stories were often set in his native Poland. He is best known for his novel 'The Family Moskat' and his short story collections 'Gimpel the Fool' and 'A Crown of Feathers'.
