Asia Minor, also known as Anatolia, is a geographical region located in the westernmost part of Asia, which is now part of modern-day Turkey. It is bordered by the Black Sea to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the Aegean Sea to the west, and the Armenian Highlands and the Caucasus Mountains to the east. Historically, it has been an important cultural and political center, with many civilizations having flourished in the area over the centuries. It is also home to some of the world's oldest cities, such as Troy and Ephesus.
