Arthur Ashe was an American professional tennis player who won three Grand Slam titles. He was the first African American to win the men's singles title at the US Open and Wimbledon. He was also a civil rights activist and a humanitarian. His stadium, Arthur Ashe Stadium, is named in his honor and is located in Flushing Meadows, New York. It is the largest tennis-only stadium in the world and hosts the US Open every year.
