Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the moon. He was born in 1930 and died in 2012. He was also an engineer, naval aviator, test pilot, and university professor. Armstrong was part of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, which made him the first human to set foot on the moon.
