Roone Arledge was an American broadcasting executive who was the president of ABC Sports from 1968 to 1986. He is credited with revolutionizing sports broadcasting by introducing slow motion replays, multiple cameras, and other innovations. He was also the first to televise the Olympic Games in color in 1964. Arledge was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1993.
