A LOCAL Area Network (LAN) is a computer network that connects computers and other devices within a limited geographical area such as a home, school, office building, or closely positioned group of buildings. It allows connected devices to share resources, exchange files, and communicate with each other. LANs are typically used for small networks, but can also be used for larger networks. They are usually connected by Ethernet cables, wireless access points, or both.
