Ardent desires are strong and passionate feelings of longing or craving. They can be for anything from material possessions to emotional connections. THIRSTS, YENS, and LUSTS are all examples of ardent desires. THIRSTS are a strong physical need for something, usually referring to a need for water or other liquids. YENS are an intense feeling of wanting something, often used to refer to a desire for something that is out of reach. LUSTS are strong sexual desires. All three of these words are synonyms for ardent desires.
