Architect Sir Christopher WREN was a renowned English architect, scientist, and mathematician in the 17th century. He is best known for his work on St Paul's Cathedral in London, which he designed after the Great Fire of London in 1666. He is also credited with designing many other churches, monuments, and public buildings in England. WREN was knighted by King Charles II in 1673 for his services to architecture.
