Architect Saarinen was a Finnish-American architect and industrial designer of the 20th century. He was born in Finland in 1873 and his father, Eliel Saarinen, was also an architect. His son, Eero Saarinen, was also an architect and designer. Saarinen's most famous works include the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, and the TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. He also designed furniture for Knoll, including the iconic 'Womb Chair' and the 'NUTRIA' chair.
