The Arabian Nights Creatures are mythical creatures that appear in the stories of the One Thousand and One Nights, a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian stories and folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age. The creatures include the ROC, a giant legendary bird of prey with a wingspan of up to 30 meters. It is said to be able to carry off an elephant or other large animal in its talons.
